  • Semi-Finalists Announced - March 30th

    The 15 teams with the best ideas have been selected as the semi-finalists.

  • April 12th - Finalist Announcement

    These 5 teams are paired with a mentor to prepare for the Conference.

  • Conference - June 7th

    The 5 finalists pitch at the live Piñata Pitch Conference in Montreal, Canada.

Details

Piñata Pitch consists of two main components:

1. Startup Pitch Competition

A multi-round elimination process where teams develop and refine business ideas through expert mentorship.

2. In-Person Conference & Finals

In-Person Conference & Finals – A live event featuring finalist pitches, networking opportunities, and industry talks.

Judging Criteria

• Feasibility

Market fit, financial viability, and resource availability

• Growth Potential

Market size, scalability, and competitive advantage

• Application of Technology

Innovation, business model integration, and technical feasibility

• Creativity & Storytelling

Engagement, originality, and passion

Guiding Axes

Projects submitted to the competition are strongly encouraged to address one of our four main axes:

1. Health and well-being advancement

2. Clean and accessible energy development

3. Infrastructure, industrialization, and innovation

4. Urban development and community building
